Rick Warren Prayer - Great Choice Mr President Elect!

CNN has recently reported that Rick Warren, the pastor of Saddleback Community Church, has been chosen by Barack Obama to lead the invocational prayer at his inauguaration.

"Prominent liberal groups and gay rights proponents criticized President-elect Barack Obama Wednesday for choosing evangelical pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at the presidential inauguration next month.

President-elect Barack Obama has chosen pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at his inauguration.

Warren, one of the most influential religious leaders in the nation, has championed issues such as a reduction of global poverty, human rights abuses and the AIDS epidemic.
But the founder of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, has also adhered to socially conservative stances -- including his opposition to gay marriage and abortion rights that puts him at odds with many in the Democratic Party, especially the party's most liberal wing."

I say, "Well done, Mr President Elect!"

And here is why...

Many people thought that they were electing a savior back in November, NOT a politician.

Heeeeeellllo! Barack Obama is FIRST of all a POLITICIAN. Long before being a democrat or even an African American, Barack Obama is a politician and as a politician, his sole responsibility is to exert his will, vision and purpose upon the people (hopefully in a good way).

He will accomplish his goals and purposes for our counrty as he builds a coalition of followers from ALL walks of life, not just the Left and certainly not just the super minority GBLT community.

For those of you who are complaining of his choice - go get a life and quit your bitchin'!
